This is my Great Uncle Clarke Stockwell, WA7BVQ This picture was taken in Berne's bay, Alaska in 1968. he is aboard a 50 foot boat "The Swiftsure". The radio pictured was built by Northern radio company in seattle in 1935. It was rescued from the Kensington Mine, and had been sitting under a cover in one of the old mine shacks for about 30 years when it was found by Clarke's crew. the only access to the mine was by a cable car or a helicopter. The radio was returned to northern radio, where it was restored. northern radio has been gone for many years now, so who knows where it might be today.
